is enshrined under Canadian law, including under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canadian Human Rights Act, as well as under international law, including the United Nations (UN) human rights covenants, conventions and protocols, the International Labour Organization conventions, and the Geneva conventions and protocols.

We seek to encourage government entities in Canada and internationally to implement policies and laws that increase the oversight and accountability of foreign aid granted to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), in order to prevent funding of NGOs that promote or encourage discrimination.   We do this by contracting with NGO Monitor, given its status at the United Nations.  NGO Monitor is a project of The Institute for NGO Research, a recognized organization in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council.
